NOOSA CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE 2024

Day in Australian Paradise with Automotive Perfection

Hastings Street, Noosa Heads—an idyllic stretch of luxury boutiques and gourmet eateries—transformed into a playground for the automotive elite on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. The Noosa Concours d'Elegance returned, bringing with it a parade of mechanical masterpieces and a healthy dose of upper-crust charm.

Bentley Brisbane

Bentley Brisbane showcased the epitome of British luxury with their Continental GT and Bentayga. The Continental GT, a grand tourer designed for long-distance comfort and speed, exuded opulence and performance. The Bentayga, Bentley's answer to the luxury SUV market, combined off-road capability with the kind of interior refinement that makes a five-star hotel room look like a budget hostel. These vehicles embodied Bentley's philosophy of blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, making their display a highlight of the event.

Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast

The Mercedes-Benz Sunshine Coast exhibit featured the rugged AMG G-Wagon and the sleek SLS, both icons in their own right. The G-Wagon, a symbol of off-road prowess wrapped in luxury, stood tall and imposing, ready to tackle any terrain. Beside it, the SLS, with its gullwing doors and throaty V8 engine, was a crowd magnet, reminding everyone why it's considered one of the most desirable modern classics. Mercedes-Benz's display was a masterclass in combining brute strength with elegant design.

Sensory Overload

Noosa knows how to throw a party. Imagine live music serenading the streets as you stroll past these rolling artworks. Open-air dining setups allowed attendees to savor exquisite culinary delights while being surrounded by automotive masterpieces. At Miss Moneypenny’s, an exclusive luncheon paired with St Hugo wines offered a sophisticated reprieve from the sun and car envy.

Lamborghini Brisbane

Lamborghini Brisbane brought the Sterrato, a car that seems ready to take on both the racetrack and the rugged outback. This high-performance beast, with its lifted suspension and aggressive stance, drew plenty of attention. The Sterrato's unique blend of Lamborghini's supercar DNA with off-road capabilities made it one of the most talked-about cars at the event. Its presence underscored Lamborghini's commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive design and performance.

Maserati Brisbane

Maserati Brisbane's MC20 was a standout, showcasing the brand's return to true sports car form. This mid-engine marvel, with its sleek lines and powerful V6 engine, epitomized Maserati's blend of luxury and performance. The MC20's design and engineering highlighted Maserati's storied racing heritage and its commitment to innovation. It was a clear reminder that Maserati remains a formidable player in the world of high-performance automobiles.

Beyond the Concours

For those looking to fill every waking minute with activities, the Noosa Beach House Truffle and Wine Lunch was a culinary adventure worth the calories. Locale Noosa paid tribute to Ayrton Senna with an Italian gastronomic journey—a fancy way of saying “eat like a king and remember a legend.” The antique jewellery trunk show was another highlight, where Simon Sullivan, a fourth-generation dealer, presented pieces so dazzling they made even the cars look affordable by comparison.

Aston Martin Queensland

Aston Martin Queensland presented a veritable feast for the eyes with the DB12, DBX, Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, and even an Aston Martin motorbike. The DB12 and DBX showcased the brand's prowess in both sports cars and luxury SUVs. The Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, a limited-edition masterpiece, combined rarity with breathtaking design. The motorbike added an unexpected twist, showing Aston Martin's versatility. This diverse lineup highlighted Aston Martin's blend of tradition and cutting-edge innovation.

McLaren Gold Coast

McLaren Gold Coast wowed attendees with a trio of automotive excellence: the 720S, the hybrid Artura, and the Senna. The 720S, with its aerodynamic design and blistering performance, was a testament to McLaren's engineering prowess. The Artura, McLaren's new hybrid supercar, represented the future of performance with its combination of speed and efficiency. The Senna, named after the legendary F1 driver, was the ultimate track weapon, designed for those who seek the thrill of pure speed. McLaren's display was a highlight for speed enthusiasts.
