This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of catching up with one of my most fabulous friends. I was seated across from none other than the reigning hair queen of Australia, Carole Haddad.
Our chosen spot was the charming Commune Café, located in the heart of the picturesque Gold Coast nestled in the busy streets of Burleigh. Carole graciously shared insights into her illustrious career and her latest venture on Channel 9's groundbreaking show, "Ageless."
Carole, with her infectiously fabulous presence, shared some fascinating insights into her iconic career, which spans over 35 years. Since opening Corcorz Hair in 1995, Carole has achieved a staggering collection of over 500 awards. Her accolades include multiple titles as the Queensland Hairdresser of the Year and AHFA Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year. Notably, her creative prowess has made her a favourite stylist for national celebrities and on-air presenters across Australia's four major networks: ABC, Channel 7, Channel 9, and Channel 10.
Moreover, Carole’s expertise has led her to prestigious roles, such as the Artistic Director of the Australian F.A.M.E. Team and an industry educator for prominent institutions and brands. Her impact on fashion extends beyond hairdressing, having regularly collaborated with Australian fashion giants like Alex Perry and Camilla Franks for major fashion events. Her talent and distinctive style have consistently attracted a roster of international celebrities like Kylie Minogue, and most importantly ME.
Carole is also no stranger to the silver screen, having previously been a hilarious participant on Channel 9’s “My Mum, Your Dad” – a heartwarming show where children play matchmaker for their single parents in search of love.
But Carole's new reach extends beyond the salon chair and the dating show. This upcoming season, she'll be a participant on "Ageless," a show that celebrates those who defy traditional notions of ageing. "Ageless" features individuals who embrace the idea that age is just a number and doesn't limit your potential. The series, which premiered on March 23rd on Channel 9, aims to redefine ageing and inspire viewers with stories of limitless possibilities.
One thing became abundantly clear during our breakfast – Carole herself is the embodiment of ageing gracefully. Her energy and zest for life are truly inspiring, and it's no wonder she was chosen for "Ageless." She continues to innovate in her field, embrace new opportunities like the show, and radiate a confidence that transcends age. Carole is a perfect example of how life gets richer and more fulfilling as we mature, and I have no doubt she'll be a guiding light for viewers on "Ageless."
