Celebrity Encounter
During my stay, I heard rumours that the one and only Harry Styles was staying at the Langham at the same time as me. Harry coincidentally had concerts lined up in the Gold Coast over the next two days, however I didn’t know this at the time. Despite my scepticism, I have to admit even I was keeping an eye out just in case he were to enter the gym with me, or catch an elevator ride. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case, however this didn’t dampen my time at the Langham.
Alright, back to the review…
Quite possibly the personal highlight of my stay (after Harry Styles) was the hotel's signature restaurant, T’ang Court, which serves up premium southern Chinese cuisine. Despite the unforgettable Chinese food, waking up and heading to Akoya for breakfast was also a highlight of my stay. Akoya features a world class buffet along side a kitchen with a set menu that you can order from. Later in the day you’ll be able to come back to Akoya for some handcrafted cocktails.
For those looking for a more intimate culnary experience, the hotel also offers an afternoon tea at Palm Court. Located just past the lobby, there, you’ll be able to eat the best of what the pastry chefs at the Langham have to offer, all with an elegant and sophisticated ocean view.
The Gold Coast Langham also offers an array of amenities designed to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The hotel features a beautiful outdoor pool surrounded by lush psalm trees, a fully equipped fitness centre, and a luxurious spa offering a range of treatments and services, which I took FULL advantage of.
