FERRARI PUROSANGUE... THE CAR THAT WASN'T MEANT TO EXIST

Some say that Ferrari has sold its soul by making an SUV. They say that the Purosangue, which means "pure blood" in Italian, is a betrayal of everything that the prancing horse stands for. They say that it is a bloated, boring, and blasphemous machine that has no place in the Ferrari lineup.

Well, they are wrong.

According to Ferrari, the Purosangue is not an SUV. It is a Ferrari. A Ferrari that happens to have four doors, a large boot, and a raised ride height. But a Ferrari nonetheless.

The Purosangue is based on the same platform as the Roma, the Portofino, and the SF90 Stradale. That means it has a front-mid engine layout, a rear-wheel drive system, and a hybrid powertrain. The engine is a 6.5-litre V12 petrol that produces 715 horsepower and 528 pound-feet of torque. That is more than enough to propel the Purosangue from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and to a top speed of 200 mph.

The Purosangue also has a clever four-wheel steering system that makes it agile and stable at the same time. The steering is sharp and responsive, the suspension is firm but comfortable, and the brakes are strong and progressive. The Purosangue handles like a sports car, not like an SUV. It is fast, fun, and thrilling to drive.

But the Purosangue is not just a performance machine. It is also a practical and luxurious one. It has a spacious and elegant interior, with leather, carbon fibre, and aluminium trim. It has a digital dashboard, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a head-up display. It has a panoramic sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. It has a host of safety and convenience features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and parking sensors. It has a generous cargo space, with a split-folding rear seat and a power tailgate. It has everything you need for a long and comfortable journey.

The Purosangue is not a compromise. It is a masterpiece. It is a Ferrari that can do everything. It can go fast, it can go off-road, it can carry people and luggage, and it can look good while doing it. It is the ultimate all-rounder.

The Purosangue is not a betrayal. It is a triumph. It is a Ferrari that has evolved with the times. It is a Ferrari that has expanded its horizons. It is a Ferrari that has proven its critics wrong.

The Purosangue is not an SUV. It is a Ferrari.
