ALL INCLUSIVE MEXICO: A WEEKEND AT HARD ROCK HOTEL LOS CABOS

All inclusive Mexico breaks make life easy – no stress. No hassle. No surprises. Just relaxation and enjoyment in the Los Cabos sunshine where it is summer all year. We spend a weekend at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos where we enjoyed access to all inclusive facilities like dining at eight restaurants, limitless cocktails, entertainment, room service, activities and more.

Read on for some tips and highlights of the restaurants we experienced, the cocktails we enjoyed and the all inclusive fun we had.

Location

Your all inclusive Mexico destination is Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos, only 30 minutes away from Los Cabos Airport (SJD). Uber is the most cost effective way to travel around Los Cabos but they can’t enter the airport so a good place to be collected is the Oxxo shop just outside the terminal building. Otherwise, it is a wise idea to organise transfers before you arrive.

Restaurants

Pre book – As Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is fairly new, it’s important to pre book restaurants BEFORE you arrive to avoid disappointment. The 8 restaurants include a range of cuisines including: Mexican, Asian, Teppanyaki, Indian, Italian, pizza, a buffet eatery and a 24-hour coffee shop.

Ipenema – Ignoring the South American name, Ipenema is a brand new Indian restaurant. Dishes are prepared to order by an Indian chef who has worked across the globe. Be sure to speak to the team if you want things a little more spicy. Favourite dish: Naan bread with extra garlic.

Zen – This restaurant is by far the most popular and it is clear why – There are three options, a sit down a la carte Asian option, sushi bar and Teppanyaki. The a la carte also includes some very high-end sushi and sashimi. The Teppanyaki is multi course feast with chefs providing table side cooking and lots of fun. Favourite dishes: Fillet steak and a tempura sushi with crab.

Ciao – Authentic Italian atmosphere, food and Italian wines too. The setting at Ciao is also stunning and you can eat outside by the water with seafood from the Cortez Sea. Favourite dish: Spaghetti Carbonara.

The Market – The Market is the hotel’s buffet and breakfast is BIG. From eggs to pasties and everything in between including Mexican breakfast options. Lunch is also a rich buffet with salads, grills and much more. Favourite dish: The egg station

Los Gallos – It is the same menu for lunch and dinner so be sure to have one of your meals here for lunch to maximise the number of restaurants you try. Great Mexican food, top shelf tequila and tables in the sunshine. Favourite dish: Local fried fish.

Toro – Steak and more. Step inside and enjoy premium cuts of the finest steak and a menu of other dishes served à la carte. Favourite dish: Ribeye.

Pizzeto – Something casual by the pool, you can pick from one of the brick oven Italian style pizzas or create your own. Favourite dish: Quadruple pepperoni and double cheese (self created).

Cafetto – 24 hour coffee, tea, cakes, salads and other munchies. Here is where you will find the best coffee at Hard Rock Los Cabos. Favourite dish: The brownies.

Bars

There is a focus on quality here at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos whether you are in the pool or having a cocktail pre dinner. Take in the 2 pool bars, 4 swim-up bars and 3 lounges. Drinks are served from 10am till Midnight so pace yourselves. After midnight, drinks are served at the in house club.

Cocktails – There are cocktail lists at all the bars but you can order whatever you like, just the way you like it whether it’s a vodka martini (with Grey Goose) with a twist or a frozen Margarita with Mezcal, they can do it. Favourite drink: Skinny Margarita with a Tajin (Mexican spicy salt) rimmed glass.

Entertainment

The entertainment is always available and the volume gets turned down at 11pm each night but you can still continue the party into the night at the club which opens late into the night. During the day, expect live bands by the pool, games and fun. As the evening comes, expect some quality live entertainment (we saw tributes to Michael Jackson and Queen). 25 minutes drive from Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is downtown Cabo if you want to explore more entertainment options.

Music is at the heart of this all inclusive offering. You can borrow a Fender® guitar which is delivered to the room with Klipsch headphones and a Fender® Mustang I V.2 amplifier, to create a pop-up studio. Novice rockers can take advantage of the in-room video lessons or just start strumming.

Room Service

If you are enjoying your room too much, room service is also included. There are some signature Hard Rock dishes to try like the burger and Oreo cheesecake. Your mini bar in the room is also included and packed with drinks. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Favourite dish: Oreo cheesecake.

Beach & Pools

The pools – Have a walk around and check out which pool suits you best. They are all different in terms of atmosphere. We stumbled upon the Rhythm pool (adults only) which had everything – a fun atmosphere, great drinks and above all lots of sun. This pool also comes complete with under water music.

The beach – The wide beach is great for a long walk and keep your eyes out for whales who regularly visit this coastline between October-March especially in the early morning.

In a nutshell

This is all inclusive Mexico at it’s best. Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is like our favourite luxury cruise on land making new friends, enjoying great food and not worrying about anything. There are no surprises or hidden extras. It really is all included.

The Manic advice to make the most out of the whole all inclusive Mexico experience is to wake up early, try drinks/food you have never tried and sleep when you get back home. There is too much limitless all inclusive luxury fun to be had at Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos.
